14 Best Ecommerce CRO Agencies (With Real Test Results)

The best ecommerce CRO agencies are the ones that show you their real test results before you hire them.

For most online brands, start with Conversionwise (100 published tests in our archive), then Maison Commerce, Scaling CRO and Tailored Commerce.

Bigger DTC brands should also look at SplitBase and DRIP Agency.

If you want the most honest record of what wins and what doesn't, look at Clean Commit.

How we picked: we read each agency's own site and public case studies, and counted the ecommerce tests credited to it in the LiftArchive database.

We have not hired these agencies or audited their client work. Our own practitioners come first.

The 14 best ecommerce CRO agencies

1. Conversionwise (Oliver Kenyon)

conversionwise.com first screen
conversionwise.com, captured November 4, 2026.

Based in: Bristol, UK, with a London address, per its contact page.

What they do: Oliver Kenyon co-founded Conversionwise and has spent 13 years in ecommerce CRO.

The Conversionwise site lists ongoing CRO testing, landing pages and funnels, redesigns, Shopify development, audits and workshops, and says it has worked with 4,000+ brands since 2013.

Known for: tests judged on revenue per visitor.

Adding a dispatch, returns and payment block under the checkout button in the cart drawer lifted revenue per visitor by +23.8%.

Removing a 1/2/3-bag bundle selector from a travel bag brand's product page gave +7.8% revenue per visitor.

Tests in our archive: 100, all ecommerce. See Oliver Kenyon's practitioner page.

All 100 are published as wins, so ask for flat and losing tests on the first call.

Best for: brands that want one team for research, testing and Shopify builds.

Not for stores too small to reach a result in a few weeks.

2. Maison Commerce (Kasper Dolk)

maisoncommerce.co first screen
maisoncommerce.co, captured November 4, 2026.

Based in: the EU, per the Maison Commerce site (city not stated).

What they do: Shopify CRO with conversion-focused themes, product pages, landing pages and four to six A/B tests a month.

The site says first deliverables ship in 10 to 15 days and it takes a maximum of four new brands a month.

Known for: clients such as ICON Amsterdam and HiStrips.

In our archive, moving the FAQ higher took revenue per visitor from €2.17 to €2.45 (+13.08%).

Tests in our archive: 30, on Kasper Dolk's page. All are published as wins.

Best for: Shopify brands doing €100k+ a month.

Not for non-Shopify stores or brands below that line, which the site says are better served by a call than a program.

3. Scaling CRO (Peter Christensen)

scaling.co first screen
scaling.co, captured November 4, 2026.

Based in: not stated on scaling.co.

What they do: a system that ties customer research, ad messaging, landing pages, on-site tests and post-purchase offers into one roadmap.

The site says engagements start at $10K a month, it takes brands doing $1M or more a month, and it keeps a maximum of 12 active clients.

Known for: deep work on fewer accounts, with the founder in each one.

In our archive, removing the "Track Order" link from the main navigation gave +30% revenue per visitor.

Tests in our archive: 7, on Peter Christensen's page.

Best for: established DTC brands with a big ad budget.

Not for smaller stores: the entry price and revenue bar rule most out.

4. Tailored Commerce (Ruben)

tailoredcommerce.co first screen
tailoredcommerce.co, captured November 4, 2026.

Based in: not stated on tailoredcommerce.co.

What they do: a small Shopify CRO and design agency.

The site says first tests go live within a week, a research report and roadmap follow within 30 days, and contracts run month to month with 30 days' notice.

Known for: the site claims a 41% conversion rate increase in six months for Mayson.

Ruben also publishes mixed results: a countdown timer tested across several brands gave about +10% conversion rate on a low-priced brand but is listed as lost overall.

Tests in our archive: 5 (3 won, 1 flat, 1 lost), on Ruben's page.

Best for: 7- and 8-figure Shopify brands that want no annual contract.

Not for brands that need a large in-house-style team.

syntralabs.com first screen
syntralabs.com, captured November 4, 2026.

Based in: not stated on syntralabs.com.

The site describes plans that deliver roughly 2-3 or 7-10 A/B tests a month, and says you can pause anytime.

Known for: publishing a large share of results, losses included.

Removing the email popup cost -20.51% revenue per visitor, and a countdown timer for a European market cost -35.61%.

Tests in our archive: 162 (151 won, 2 flat, 9 lost), on Dave Diederen's page.

Best for: brands with a steady list of ideas that want fast builds.

Not for brands that need someone else to own the whole strategy on the lower plan.

6. Blend Commerce

Based in: registered office in London, UK, per Companies House.

What they do: Shopify CRO, including research, roadmaps, A/B testing, redesigns and implementation.

Known for: a public library of Shopify A/B tests.

Best for: mid-size and large European shops. Not for stores under its €100k/month line.

8. Clean Commit

cleancommit.io first screen
cleancommit.io, captured November 4, 2026.

Based in: nowhere in particular: its about page says the team is fully remote and never had an office.

What they do: CRO for Shopify brands. Its homepage says it needs 30,000+ monthly sessions, offers the first month free, then charges $5,950 a month, with 4-8 experiments a month for stores with 50k+ sessions.

Known for: publishing its whole test library, not only winners.

Replacing a trust-focused hero with a sales carousel cost -46.2% conversions.

Tests in our archive: 173 (16 won, 122 flat, 35 lost), on the Clean Commit page.

That honest win rate is what most agencies' real numbers look like.

Best for: stores that want clear pricing and a free trial month. Not for low-traffic stores.

splitbase.com, captured November 4, 2026.

Tests in our archive: 46 (42 won, 1 flat, 3 lost), on the Convertibles page.

Tests in our archive: 18, including flat results, on the GrowthRock page.

Best for: data-minded teams that like a method.

Not for brands wanting design and dev under the same roof.

Some are before/after redesigns, which are weaker proof than A/B tests.

Not for buyers who want a price on the website.

Which one is right for you

Shopify brands doing $100k to $1M a month

Start with Conversionwise or Maison Commerce. Both build and test on Shopify, so you don't need a separate developer.

Tailored Commerce suits brands that want a month-to-month contract.

DTC brands doing $1M+ a month

Scaling CRO and SplitBase work on offers, landing pages and the full funnel, not just page elements.

Both list prices on their sites, and both are among the most expensive here.

European shops

DRIP Agency in Germany and Maison Commerce in the EU.

UK buyers can add Conversionwise and Blend Commerce, the two UK agencies here.

Tight budget or a test backlog

Syntra Labs runs on a pausable subscription. Clean Commit publishes its price and gives the first month free if you have the traffic.

You want research before testing

Surefoot and GrowthRock. If you're not ready for a retainer, a one-off CRO audit may be the better first step.

How to choose an ecommerce CRO agency

  1. Read their tests first. Open five to ten of the agency's tests in our database and check they match your pages and price point.
  2. Ask for losses. An agency with no flat or losing tests to show either hides them or doesn't test much.
  3. Check the metric. Revenue per visitor tells you more than conversion rate, because a discount can lift orders and cut revenue.
  4. Check the evidence type. A single-change A/B test is stronger proof than a before/after comparison or a full redesign.
  5. Match your traffic. Clean Commit asks for 30,000+ monthly sessions; check your own numbers with the sample size calculator.
  6. Ask who builds the tests. Design, development and QA should be in-house or clearly scoped.
  7. Check the contract. Month-to-month terms, like Tailored Commerce's, lower your risk.
  8. Ask how tests end. Sample size or duration should be set before launch, not when the result looks good.

What ecommerce CRO costs

Three agencies on this list publish prices, as of November 2026. Clean Commit charges $5,950 a month after a free first month.

SplitBase says its programs typically run $8,500 to $15,000 a month.

Scaling CRO says engagements start at $10K a month.

The rest quote after a call. Testing tools are often billed on top.

Our CRO pricing guide covers retainers, audits and consultant rates.

Real results from these agencies

Wins and losses from six agencies on this list:

And published losses and flat results from the same agencies, which tell you as much:

Watch out for

  • Win-only portfolios. Most agency case studies only show winners. Clean Commit's 173 published tests include just 16 wins, which is closer to normal.
  • Revenue claims without a method. "+$X a month" figures are usually projections from a test period. Ask how they were worked out.
  • Bundled redesigns. A rebuilt page that wins doesn't tell you which change did the work.
  • Copying another store's winner. The same free shipping line won for one GrowthRock client and did nothing for another.

Questions

What does an ecommerce CRO agency do?

It researches why visitors don't buy, turns that into test ideas, then designs, builds and runs A/B tests on pages like product pages, carts and menus. Winners get shipped and losers get dropped.

How much does an ecommerce CRO agency cost?

Of the agencies on this list that publish prices, Clean Commit charges $5,950 a month after a free first month, SplitBase typically $8,500 to $15,000 a month, and Scaling CRO from $10K a month, as of November 2026.

How much traffic do I need to hire a CRO agency?

Enough to finish a test in a few weeks.

Clean Commit, for example, asks for 30,000+ monthly sessions.

Below that, a one-off CRO audit is usually a better use of money.

How long until a CRO agency shows results?

Agencies on this list say first tests go live within one to three weeks, and Tailored Commerce says measurable results typically land within 60 to 90 days.

Each test usually needs 2 to 4 weeks to finish.

Should I hire an agency or a CRO consultant?

An agency gives you strategy, design, development and analysis in one team.

A consultant gives you one senior person at lower cost, and you may need your own developer.
