Most agencies publish their wins and keep their losses private, so a small count doesn't mean a small agency.

Which one is right for you

Shopify stores under $2M a year

Try Tailored Commerce for month-to-month terms, or Clean Commit for a flat $5,950 a month with a free trial month.

If a single test would take months at your traffic, start with a CRO audit instead. Check first with the sample size calculator.

Growing brands, $2M to $10M

Conversionwise and Maison Commerce both pair testing with design and Shopify builds.

Convertibles fits if you also want paid ads run by the same team.

Shopify Plus brands, $10M and up

SplitBase and Syntra Labs work mainly with Shopify Plus brands and publish their prices.

DRIP Agency fits large European shops, and Prismfly fits if you need a migration or rebuild too.

Subscription brands

Blend Commerce has the most subscription tests among these agencies, such as a "Popular" badge on the 4-week delivery option (+14.81% conversion rate).

Scaling CRO lists Ruff Greens, a pet health subscription brand, among its results.

What to look for in a Shopify CRO agency

  1. Losing tests. An agency that runs real tests has plenty of flat and losing results; ask to see them.
  2. Revenue per visitor. RPV or profit per visitor tells you more than conversion rate, because a discount can lift orders and cut revenue.
  3. Clean A/B tests. A split test of one change is stronger proof than a redesign compared before and after.
  4. A traffic check. A good agency tells you up front if your order volume is too low for monthly testing.
  5. Shopify skills in-house. Ask who writes the Liquid code and whether tests run in your theme or through an app like those in our Shopify A/B testing apps list.
  6. Clear terms. Get the notice period, minimum term and who owns the code in writing.
  7. Testing tool costs. Ask whether the testing app is in the fee or billed on top.

What Shopify CRO agencies cost

Most agencies on this list don't publish prices.

The ones that do, as of November 2026:

Prismfly's contact form starts budgets at $75-100k a year.

Tailored Commerce asks for a four-figure budget. A retainer has to pay for itself from the winners, so work out what one winning test is worth at your revenue before you sign.

Our CRO pricing guide covers pricing models and what should be included.

Watch out for

  • Win-only portfolios. Most agencies publish only wins. Clean Commit's full record shows 16 wins in 173 tests, which is closer to what a normal program looks like.
  • Redesigns sold as tests. Before-and-after numbers mix in seasonality and ad changes. Ask which results came from split tests.
  • App stacking. Every testing, upsell or popup app adds scripts that can slow your store. Ask the agency to remove the apps that lose.
  • Discount-driven wins. Extra discounts and urgency timers can lift conversion and cut margin. Ruben's countdown timer worked on one brand and lost across the others.
  • Long lock-ins. Several agencies here run month to month. If one asks for a 12-month contract, ask why.

Questions

What does a Shopify CRO agency do?

It researches where shoppers drop off, designs and codes test variations in your Shopify theme, runs A/B tests on product, collection, cart and landing pages, and ships the winners.

Most also offer audits, redesigns and Shopify development.

How much does a Shopify CRO agency cost?

Of the agencies that publish prices, Clean Commit charges $5,950 a month, Syntra Labs $7,495 or $10,495 a month, SplitBase $8,500 to $15,000 a month, and Scaling CRO starts at $10K a month (as of November 2026). Testing apps are often billed on top.
