Pick Leadpages if you mainly need landing pages that collect leads or sell one product, and you want A/B testing for less money: plans start at $29 a month and testing starts at $99. Pick ClickFunnels if you sell courses, coaching or info products through a multi-step funnel with order bumps, one-click upsells, email and a course area in one account.
ClickFunnels starts at $97 a month. In short, Leadpages is a page builder that can take payments, and ClickFunnels is a funnel and sales platform that also builds pages.
We haven't used either tool ourselves. This comparison is based on each vendor's pricing pages and help docs, plus real tests from the LiftArchive database that show which kinds of experiments each tool is built for.

Price: Leadpages vs ClickFunnels
As of November 2026, Leadpages pricing has four self-serve plans: Pro at $29 a month, Business at $49, Grow at $99 and Optimize at $199. Annual billing saves 20%, every plan has a 7-day free trial, and Enterprise pricing is contact sales.
Leadpages says there are no traffic caps on any plan.
The two cheaper plans are publishing plans. Pro gives you 25 pages and one custom domain, and Business gives you 50 pages and two domains.
Grow is the first plan with unlimited pages and A/B testing.
As of November 2026, ClickFunnels pricing runs from Launch at $97 a month to Scale at $197 and Optimize at $297, with annual billing bringing those down to $81, $164 and $248 a month.
Dominate is sold only by the year, at $5,997. There's a 14-day free trial and a 30-day money-back guarantee.
ClickFunnels caps accounts by contacts and seats rather than pages.
Launch includes 10,000 email contacts, 2 team members, 1 workspace and 5 custom domains. Every plan gets unlimited funnels.
So the price gap depends on what you'd otherwise pay for.
If you already pay for an email platform and a course host, ClickFunnels makes you pay for those features again.
If you would buy all three separately, the $97 bundle can work out cheaper than Leadpages plus two other subscriptions.
Pages vs full funnels: checkout, order bumps and upsells
This is the real difference between the two.
Leadpages builds single pages and simple sites. According to its checkout page, you can connect Stripe, sell products, subscriptions and digital goods, and "add upsells at checkout" with a checkbox.
Leadpages adds no transaction fee on top of Stripe's.
That checkout page doesn't mention post-purchase upsell pages or multi-step funnels.
If your plan is "opt-in page, then a thank-you page with a link," Leadpages covers it.
If your plan is "sales page, order form with a bump, then two upsell offers," it doesn't.
ClickFunnels is built around that second flow. Its order form bump puts an add-on offer on the order form, and its docs explain how to add a one-click upsell or downsell page where buyers accept without typing their card details again.
Email, courses and the checkout all live in the same account.
Our database shows why those steps matter. When Kasper Dolk tested a custom AOV order bump, it got a 15-20% take rate.
Dave Diederen added a 1-click complementary post-purchase upsell and saw a 16.64% offer acceptance rate.
Both are Shopify stores, but they are the same kind of offer ClickFunnels is built to run.
Upsells aren't free money, though. In a straight upsells vs no upsells test, Kasper Dolk measured revenue per visitor going from $1.46 to $1.49, a +1.86% gain.
That's a modest lift, so test your offers rather than assume.
Our guide to upselling covers which offers tend to work.
The tool also matters less than the page you build in it.
When Peter Christensen moved a $600+ AOV offer from SamCart to a PageDeck landing page, the new page won with a +20% conversion rate.
That was a move between two other tools, but the point applies here too: pick the builder that makes it easy for you to build and change pages.
A/B testing in Leadpages and ClickFunnels
ClickFunnels includes split testing on every plan, but its setup is basic.
Its split-testing docs say each funnel step can have only one variant, so you test A against B. The default split is 100/0, which you change with a slider.
The docs suggest running a test for at least 30 days and show page views, opt-ins, orders and sales.
We didn't find any significance calculation in those docs.
Leadpages puts testing behind the $99 Grow plan, but the feature goes further.
Its A/B testing page says you can split traffic 50/50, 70/30 or any custom ratio, and measure form submissions, clicks, purchases or offsite conversions.
Leadpages runs a two-proportion z-test, with a Bonferroni correction when more than two variants are live, and labels results "leaning," "likely" or "clear."
The $199 Optimize plan adds multivariate tests, Smart Traffic routing and heatmaps.
Whichever tool you choose, the test ideas come from the same place.
These lead-gen landing page tests from our database are the kind of thing either builder can run:
- Penn Foster built a dedicated landing page for brand search ads and got +202% click-to-lead.
- The Social Man changed the opt-in button to "Watch The Video" and got +28% email opt-ins.
- Majestic Wine tested removing a PDF download button beside the CTA and got +36.9% enquiries.
- Uncommon Knowledge tested a modern redesign of its opt-in page, and it lost: the original got 19.55% more sign-ups.
That last result is the reason to test rather than just publish a new template.
Before trusting a result in either tool, check how long to run an A/B test for your traffic level.
Many small funnels don't get enough orders to show a clear winner in 30 days.
Who should pick which
Choose Leadpages if
- You collect leads, book calls or sell one product, and a single page plus a Stripe checkout is enough.
- You already use an email tool and don't want to pay for a second one.
- You want A/B testing with confidence labels without paying ClickFunnels prices.
Leadpages is not for sellers who need upsell pages after checkout, a course area or built-in email automations.
See our Leadpages review for the plan-by-plan detail.
Choose ClickFunnels if
- You sell courses, coaching or digital products with order bumps and one-click upsells.
- You want email, checkout, courses and pages in one account and will actually use all of them.
ClickFunnels is not for businesses that only need a few landing pages, ecommerce brands already on Shopify (look at our post-purchase upsell apps instead), or teams that need more than one variant per test.
If the price is the sticking point, our ClickFunnels alternatives page covers cheaper all-in-one options.
Consider Unbounce if testing comes first
If you run paid traffic to lead-gen pages and testing is the main job, Unbounce is a third option.
As of November 2026, Unbounce pricing starts at $29 a month, and its Experiment plan ($149 a month, or $112 billed yearly) is the first tier with A/B testing.
Unbounce caps visitors by plan (30,000 on Experiment) and has no funnel checkout.
We earn a commission if you sign up for Unbounce through our link.
We don't earn anything from Leadpages or ClickFunnels.
