The best conferences for conversion rate optimization (CRO) and experimentation are Conversion Hotel (Texel, Netherlands, November 20-22, 2026), Experimentation Island (St. Simons Island, Georgia) and Conversionboost (Copenhagen, February 9, 2027).
They are small and built for people who run tests.
If you need the wider ecommerce, SaaS or app picture, add one large industry show such as Shoptalk, SaaStr or MAU.
How we picked: we only list events with a 2026 or 2027 date on the organizer's own site.
We checked dates, cities and prices on those pages in November 2026. We have not attended these events for this review.
Prices and dates change, so confirm on the event site before you book.

The first six are built around testing and analytics.
The last six are broad industry shows where CRO is one topic among many.
Go to those for the market, the vendors and the people, not for deep testing talks.
The 12 CRO and experimentation conferences worth your time
1. Conversion Hotel

What it is: A three-day conference that calls itself "evidence-based growth," held in a hotel on the Dutch island of Texel.
Talks, breakouts, meals and evening events all happen in one place.
Why it's worth it: Everyone stays on the island for two nights, in one of three hotels the organizers rent, so you get long conversations with other optimizers, not just a badge scan.
The program covers growth, product, UX, marketing and data, which suits people who run tests across teams.
Best for: Experienced CRO and experimentation people who want peers more than vendor pitches.
It's a big spend if you are just starting out.
Where: Talks at Grand Hotel Opduin, De Koog, Texel, the Netherlands. November 20-22, 2026. conversionhotel.com
Cost/cadence: €1,200 ex. VAT for a single room or €1,950 ex.
VAT for two people sharing, including the full event and all meals. Held every November.
2. Experimentation Island

What it is: An all-inclusive, retreat-style event capped at about 150 mid-to-senior people in growth, product, data and experimentation. It mixes keynotes, breakouts and team activities.
Why it's worth it: It is the closest US equivalent to Conversion Hotel.
The small headcount means you can meet most of the room in three days.
Best for: US-based experimentation leads and senior practitioners.
Juniors may find it pricey for what they would take home.
Where: Sea Palms Resort, St. Simons Island, Georgia.
The 2026 edition ran February 24-26, 2026; the site had no 2027 date when we checked. experimentationisland.com
Cost/cadence: Three tiers (Regular, VIP and Premium VIP) that include the hotel, meals and activities.
Prices show only in the ticket form. Yearly.
3. Conversionboost

What it is: A one-day conference on CRO, experimentation and data-driven growth, held in Denmark.
The 2027 edition has 10 speakers on one track in English.
Why it's worth it: With about 100 seats, it's small enough to talk to the speakers.
One track means you don't have to choose between sessions.
Best for: Ecommerce and digital teams in the Nordics and northern Europe who want a short trip and a single focused day.
Where: Tietgenhus, home of Dansk Erhverv, Copenhagen. February 9, 2027. conversionboost.dk
Cost/cadence: The site says ticket sales open November 7 and includes lunch and drinks, but no price was shown when we checked. Yearly.
4. Kameleoon UNITE Summit tour

What it is: A series of one-day events run by the testing vendor Kameleoon, with customer stories, roundtables and product sessions.
Why it's worth it: The organizer says most UNITE events are free for brands and end users, so it's an easy way to meet local experimenters without a travel budget.
Best for: In-house teams near one of the tour cities.
It's a vendor event, so expect Kameleoon's product to feature, and don't treat it as a neutral tool comparison.
Where: Upcoming stops listed: an Amsterdam dinner on November 4, 2026; Vancouver on February 4, 2027; Berlin on March 17, 2027; New York in spring 2027; Texas in fall 2027. kameleoon.com/event/unite-summit-tour
Cost/cadence: Mostly free; rules vary by city. Several stops a year.
5. Experimentation Elite

What it is: A London organizer that runs experimentation conferences, meetups, workshops and an annual awards night.
Why it's worth it: It's the main home for the UK experimentation crowd.
You can pick a cheaper workshop or meetup instead of a full conference.
Best for: UK and European in-house testers and agency staff.
Where: London. The site lists the awards party on September 24, 2026, an AI agents workshop on November 6, 2026 and GEO Elite, a generative engine optimization conference, on November 12, 2026. No 2027 experimentation conference date was posted when we checked. experimentationelite.com
Cost/cadence: Prices set per event. Several events a year.
6. MeasureCamp

What it is: A free "unconference" for digital analytics, held on Saturdays.
Attendees write the schedule on the day, and everyone is encouraged to run a session.
Why it's worth it: It costs nothing, and the sessions are practical because they are run by people doing the work.
It's a good place to give your first talk.
Best for: Analysts and CRO people on a small budget, especially those whose tests depend on clean tracking.
Where: MeasureCamp ran in 27 cities in 2025. MeasureCamp London was on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at etc.venues Fenchurch Street. measurecamp.org, london.measurecamp.org
Cost/cadence: Free. Tickets go out in releases with a waitlist, and they go fast. Each city runs about once a year.
7. Superweek

What it is: A yearly gathering for digital analytics and measurement, held at a lakeside resort in Hungary.
Sessions run February 1-4, with evening events around them.
Why it's worth it: Few events go this deep on measurement.
If your test results are only as good as your tracking, this is where those problems get discussed.
Best for: Analytics leads and data people who support testing.
Not for someone who wants talks about page design or copy.
Where: Kenese Bay Garden Resort, Lake Balaton, Hungary. January 31-February 5, 2027. superweek.hu
Cost/cadence: €3,849.20 for a five-day full pass or €1,321.70 for a one-day full pass, both per person including VAT, a single hotel room and airport transfers, at prices the site says are valid until November 10, 2026. Yearly.
8. eTail Palm Springs

What it is: A long-running US conference for retail and ecommerce, formerly called eTail West.
The organizer says 60% of attendees are VPs, SVPs or directors, and 45% work in marketing.
Why it's worth it: You'll hear how ecommerce leaders think about budgets and growth, which helps when you pitch a testing program.
Best for: Ecommerce marketers and managers. Testing is one topic among many, so specialists may find it light.
Where: JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort, California. February 22-25, 2027. etailwest.wbresearch.com
Cost/cadence: The site lists registration at $699; check which pass that covers. Yearly.
9. NRF Retail's Big Show

What it is: The National Retail Federation's annual show and expo, one of the largest retail events of the year.
Why it's worth it: The expo floor lets you compare personalization, search and analytics vendors in one place.
Best for: Retail leaders and anyone shortlisting vendors.
It's huge and not CRO-focused, so plan your sessions ahead or you'll spend the day walking.
Where: Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, New York.
January 10-12, 2027, with an opening party on January 9. nrfbigshow.nrf.com
Cost/cadence: Several pass types; prices not shown on the main page. Yearly.
10. Shoptalk

What it is: A family of retail and ecommerce conferences.
Shoptalk Spring and Shoptalk Europe are the main ones for online sellers.
Why it's worth it: Strong for the business side: where ecommerce is heading, which channels are growing, and meetings with brand and retail leaders.
Best for: Ecommerce directors and agency owners looking for clients.
Hands-on testers will get more from the smaller events above.
Where: Shoptalk Spring, Las Vegas, March 22-24, 2027; Shoptalk Europe, Barcelona, June 1-3, 2027; Shoptalk Fall, Nashville, October 5-7, 2027. shoptalk.com
Cost/cadence: Prices not listed on the main page. Several events a year.
11. SaaStr AI Annual

What it is: A large B2B SaaS conference for founders, executives and investors, now branded around AI.
Why it's worth it: SaaS growth teams get talks on pricing, trials and onboarding, which are some of the most-tested parts of a SaaS funnel.
Best for: SaaS founders and growth leads. Not for ecommerce teams, and the testing content is thin next to the sales and fundraising talks.
Where: San Mateo County Event Center, San Francisco Bay Area. May 11-12, 2027. saastrannual2026.com
Cost/cadence: Prices not shown on the page. Yearly.
12. MAU

What it is: A mobile app conference for founders, product and growth teams, held at the Bellagio in Las Vegas.
Why it's worth it: App teams spend a lot of time testing paywalls, onboarding and pricing.
MAU puts the people who run those tests in one room.
Best for: App growth, retention and monetization teams. Little here for web-only businesses.
Where: Bellagio, Las Vegas. May 4-6, 2027. mauvegas.com
Cost/cadence: Prices not shown on the main page. Yearly.
Which one is right for you
You run tests every week
Go to Conversion Hotel in Europe or Experimentation Island in the US.
Both are small and full of people who do the same job.
You have little or no budget
Start with MeasureCamp and a Kameleoon UNITE stop near you.
Both are free or mostly free. Pair them with our lists of CRO communities and CRO podcasts for the rest of the year.
You work in ecommerce
Pick one testing event plus eTail Palm Springs or Shoptalk.
The big show tells you what leaders care about; the small one tells you how to test it.
Our ecommerce CRO guide covers the basics in between.
You work in SaaS or apps
SaaStr AI Annual suits SaaS teams and MAU suits app teams.
Add Conversionboost or Experimentation Elite if you want deeper testing talks.
You own the data and tracking
Superweek and MeasureCamp. Both focus on measurement, which decides whether your test results can be trusted.
How to get the most from a CRO conference
- Bring your own results. Wins, losses and flat tests all start good conversations. Write two or three down before you go.
- Ask speakers about the losers. Most talks show wins. Ask how many tests the team ran to find them and what failed.
- Check the claims later. Look up similar changes in our A/B test database before you copy an idea you heard on stage.
- Pick sessions in advance. At large shows, mark the few talks on testing, pricing or onboarding and skip the rest.
- Book early. Retreat-style events cap numbers; Experimentation Island is limited to about 150 people.
- Write it up within a week. Add the ideas to your test backlog or learning repository so they turn into tests.
- Use it for your career. Speaking at a small event or a MeasureCamp session is a strong line on a CV for a CRO specialist role, and good practice for CRO interview questions.
Real results worth bringing to a roundtable
The best conference conversations are about real numbers.
Here are five tests from our archive across ecommerce, SaaS, lead gen and apps, including one that lost.
Oliver Kenyon's cart drawer test added dispatch, returns and payment details under the checkout button and won +23.8% revenue per visitor.
Acuity Scheduling's 14-day Pro trial won +268% paid sign-ups.
Dave Diederen's countdown timer test in a non-US European market lost, at -35.61% revenue per visitor.
If you'd rather get tests running now than wait for a conference, Oliver Kenyon works with ecommerce brands on research-led testing.
Watch out for
- Vendor events dressed as neutral ones. UNITE is run by Kameleoon, and big shows sell sponsored speaking slots. Useful, but weigh the tool advice.
- Case studies without the losers. A stage talk shows the best test of the year. Our A/B testing mistakes guide explains why one big win rarely repeats.
- Hidden costs. Flights, hotels and time off often cost more than the ticket. The retreat-style events include the room, which makes them easier to compare.
- Dates that move. Several organizers had not posted 2027 dates when we checked. Confirm before you book travel.
