For most Shopify stores, the best bundle app is a quantity-breaks app such as Kaching Bundles or Bundler, because "buy 1, 2 or 3" offers on the product page are the bundle type with the most wins in our database.
Stores that need mix-and-match boxes or SKU-level inventory sync should look at Fast Bundle or Simple Bundles & Kits, and stores that only sell a few fixed kits can start with Shopify's free Shopify Bundles app.
We have not used these apps ourselves. The comparison below is based on Shopify App Store listings, vendor help docs and pricing pages, checked in November 2026. The test results come from the LiftArchive database of real A/B tests, credited to the practitioners who ran them.
Bundle types: fixed, mix-and-match, quantity breaks and BOGO
Bundle apps do four different jobs, and most apps are strong at one or two of them.
Decide which type you need before you compare apps.
- Fixed bundles. A set kit, such as shampoo plus conditioner, sold as one product at one price. Good for gift sets and starter kits.
- Mix-and-match (build-a-box). The shopper picks items from a pool, often across several steps. Good for snacks, supplements, cosmetics and anything sold as a box.
- Quantity breaks (volume discounts). The same product in 1, 2 or 3 units, with a bigger discount per unit as the quantity rises. This is the classic "Buy more, save more" selector above the add-to-cart button.
- BOGO and Buy X Get Y. A free or discounted item when the shopper buys a qualifying item.
Shopify covers some of this without an app.
The native discount types are amount off, Buy X Get Y and free shipping, and Shopify's own docs send stores that want "tiered discounts" to third-party apps.
Native Buy X Get Y also has a catch: the free item is never added to the cart automatically, so shoppers have to add it themselves.
For more on the patterns behind each type, see our page on bundle tests.
Shopify bundle apps compared
All prices below are as of November 2026 and come from each app's Shopify App Store listing or pricing page.
Several apps charge by the bundle revenue they generate, so your bill grows as the bundles work.
| App | Best at | Pricing (as of November 2026) | App Store rating | Not for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kaching Bundles | Quantity breaks, volume discounts, BOGO | Free on development stores only; Starter $14.99/month (up to $1,000 additional revenue), Scale $29.99, Pro $59.99 | 5.0 (6,563 reviews) | Stores that need SKU-level kit inventory for a 3PL |
| Bundler | Low-cost quantity breaks and Buy X Get Y | Free plan; Premium $9.99/month; Executive $19.99/month | 4.9 (2,766 reviews) | Brands that want a heavily designed, custom bundle page |
| Fast Bundle | Mix-and-match, build-a-box, FBT | Free on development stores only; $19/month (up to $1,000 bundle sales), $49 (up to $3,000), $139 (up to $10,000) | 5.0 (3,620 reviews) | High-volume stores that dislike revenue-based pricing |
| Simple Bundles & Kits | Kits with inventory sync to 3PL, WMS and ERP | Free (3 bundles, 50 monthly orders); Basic $24/month; Grow $39/month; Plus $149/month | 4.9 (820 reviews) | Stores that mainly want a quantity-breaks selector |
| Shopify Bundles | Simple fixed bundles and multipacks | Free | 2.8 (571 reviews) | Anyone who needs quantity breaks, mix-and-match or design control |
| Rebuy Bundle Builder | Multi-step build-your-own bundles inside a wider upsell suite | Packages from $25/month for one package, priced by orders per month; 14-day trial | Not shown | Small stores that only want one bundle widget |
Kaching Bundles
Kaching is built around the quantity-breaks selector: 1, 2 or 3 units with tiered pricing, plus volume discounts, BOGO and mix-and-match.
The listing also mentions built-in A/B testing and revenue analytics.
It has the largest review count of the apps here.
The downside is the pricing model. Paid tiers are capped by the "additional revenue" the app generates, so a successful bundle pushes you up a tier.
There is no free plan for live stores.
If you build product pages in a page builder, GemPages documents a Kaching integration.
Bundler
Bundler is the budget pick. The free plan already includes Buy X Get Y, volume discounts, quantity breaks and Shopify POS support.
Mix-and-match and landing pages need the $9.99 Premium plan, and bundle analytics need Executive.
It is not for brands that want a fully custom-designed bundle experience.
Public reviews mostly praise ease of use and support rather than design flexibility.
Fast Bundle
Fast Bundle covers the widest range of bundle types on its listing: fixed, mix-and-match, build-a-box, gift boxes, FBT and volume discounts.
It is a good fit for stores selling boxes or sets.
Like Kaching, pricing is tied to monthly bundle sales, which jumps from $49 to $139 as you pass $3,000. That can get expensive for stores where bundles are most of revenue.
Simple Bundles & Kits
Simple Bundles is the operations pick. Its listing focuses on single and multi-SKU inventory sync, automatic SKU breakdown on orders, and integrations with 3PLs, WMS and ERP systems.
If your warehouse needs to see each component of a kit, start here.
It is less focused on the conversion side, such as styled quantity-breaks selectors.
The free plan is limited to 3 bundles and 50 monthly orders.
Shopify Bundles
Shopify's own app is free and works on every plan, on the Online Store, Shop, POS and headless storefronts.
Its docs allow up to 30 components in a fixed bundle and 3 options with 100 variants per bundle.
The limits are real. Bundle prices do not update when a component's price changes, inventory is not tracked by location, and there are no quantity breaks or mix-and-match.
Its 2.8 rating reflects reviews that call it basic.
Rebuy Bundle Builder
Rebuy is an upsell and personalization suite, and its Bundle Builder adds multi-step, build-your-own bundles with subscription options and bundle analytics.
It makes sense if you already use Rebuy for cart and checkout upsells.
The pricing page does not say which package includes Bundle Builder, so ask sales before you commit.
For a single bundle widget, it is more tool than most small stores need.
Our Shopify upsell apps roundup covers the rest of Rebuy's features.
What the bundle tests show
Bundles are one of the most tested elements in our database, and most results are wins.
But the app only puts the offer on the page.
The offer itself and its design decide the result.
Adding a bundle selector usually wins
Oliver Kenyon saw +$182k monthly revenue after adding bundle options directly on the product page.
In another test, a 3-pack bundle with "Save 20%" above Add to Cart brought in +$52,820/month.
Kasper Dolk got +43.75% revenue per session by emphasizing the "3 for X" bundle with a custom selector.
Elevate A/B Testing saw +8.47% revenue per visitor just by listing the biggest pack first.
But not always
Oliver Kenyon also removed a 1/2/3-bag bundle selector and gained +€38k/month.
A selector can add friction when shoppers mostly buy one unit, so test it rather than assume it helps.
BOGO depends on the audience
Dave Diederen saw +25% AOV after introducing a BOGO offer for a deal-driven audience.
Milos had the opposite result: changing a 2-pack offer to "Buy 2 Get 1 Free" at the same price produced -52.38% revenue per visitor, a loss of -$104,679/month. Same app feature, very different outcome.
Builders and the design details
Dave Diederen's new bundle builder with quantity and subscribe-and-save steps lifted conversion rate by +85.04%, and a separate bundle builder test added +$13,011/month.
Small design changes mattered too: a "You're saving $X on this order" line gave +11.26% CVR, and a more compact bundle buy box gave +10.74% CVR.
For cross-product bundles, Alex Stoykov saw +10.87% RPV from a one-click "Frequently Bought Together" bundle near add to cart.
Setup tips
- Pick the app by bundle type. Quantity breaks: Kaching or Bundler. Boxes and builders: Fast Bundle or Rebuy. Warehouse kits: Simple Bundles. A few fixed kits: Shopify Bundles.
- Model the pricing tier. With revenue-capped plans, estimate your bundle sales first so the bill does not surprise you after a good month.
- Show the saving in money. Dave Diederen's tests suggest a clear "you're saving $X" line and a highlighted largest pack help.
- Put the selector near the add-to-cart button and keep it compact on mobile. If you use a sticky add-to-cart bar, Dave Diederen's sticky bar test (+$32,565/month) scrolled shoppers back up when a bundle had to be picked.
- Check discount stacking and inventory. Make sure the bundle discount does not combine with sitewide codes in ways you did not plan, and that kits deduct stock from each component.
- A/B test the offer, not just the app. Run the selector against no selector, and BOGO against a plain discount. Our list of Shopify A/B testing apps covers tools that can split traffic.
- Measure AOV and revenue per visitor together. A bundle can raise AOV and still lose money per visitor. Compare your numbers with our AOV benchmarks and read the guide to raising AOV.
