Mobile course page revamp: +145% Apply Now, +239% brochure clicks
A full revamp of a mobile course page lifted Apply Now clicks by 144.95% and Download Brochure clicks by 239%.
The CRO agency ConvertPolo ran the test for TimesPro on its IIM Indore SLSP leadership programme page, and it was published as a VWO case study.
Several changes shipped together, so no single element can take the credit.
- Apply Now clicks: up 144.95%.
- Download Brochure clicks: up 239%.
- These are click metrics, not finished applications or enrolments.
- Baseline rates, sample size and duration were not shared.
The change
Visuals and highlights move up, CTAs appear at decision points.
Simplified mockup drawn by LiftArchive from the shared screenshots.
Control
A text-heavy mobile page with programme details below the fold and calls to action late in the scroll.
Variant
A redesigned page with strong visuals, programme highlights in the first screen, easier-to-scan content and calls to action placed at natural decision points.
Why it likely won
Our reading of the result, not the practitioner's claim.
- Visitors saw why the programme mattered before they had to scroll.
- Calls to action appeared where people were ready to decide, not after they had lost interest.
- Visuals and scannable content made a dense page easier to read on a phone.
Caveats: Bundled redesign tested on mobile only, so the lift cannot be tied to one change. Metrics are clicks rather than applications, and sample size was not shared.

How to run this test on your site
- Hypothesis
- If we move programme highlights into the first screen and place calls to action at decision points, then more mobile visitors will click Apply Now because they see the value early and can act at the right moment.
- Primary metric
- Apply Now click rate
- Guardrails
- Completed application rate
- Brochure download to lead rate
- Scroll depth
- Who should test it
- Education and other high-consideration lead-gen businesses with long, text-heavy mobile pages. If your page already leads with key details and has CTAs throughout, expect a smaller gain.
Questions
Where should CTAs go on a long course page?
Place them where a visitor is likely to decide, such as right after key benefits, not only at the bottom. This revamp did that alongside other changes.
Do more CTA clicks mean more applications?
Not always. Clicks are an early signal, so track completed applications too before calling a redesign a win.
