AB Tasty Alternatives for Online Stores

The main AB Tasty alternatives for an online store are Convert, Kameleoon and Shopify-native apps such as Shoplift, Intelligems and Elevate. VWO used to be the obvious pick, but VWO and AB Tasty merged in 2026 and now sell as one company, Wingify. If you want to leave AB Tasty for a different vendor, Convert has public prices and Shopify-native apps tend to be the cheapest place to start.

Below we explain what changed at AB Tasty, then cover each option with its prices, its downsides and who it does not suit. We have not used these tools ourselves. What follows comes from vendor pages and public reviews, plus the real store tests in our database.

AB Tasty in brief

AB Tasty is a French experimentation and personalization platform. In January 2026 it agreed to join VWO's parent company Wingify. In September 2026 the two brands were folded into one Wingify platform, which the press release says has 4,000+ customers and more than $100 million in revenue.

For current customers, Wingify says contracts, pricing and service levels carry over unchanged, and both products keep running while they are slowly combined. That said, abtasty.com now redirects to wingify.com. If you liked AB Tasty for its own roadmap, that roadmap is now shared with VWO.

AB Tasty pricing

AB Tasty has never published prices. As of November 2026, abtasty.com/pricing redirects to the Wingify pricing page. That page lists Growth, Pro and Enterprise tiers for each product, but you have to book a demo to see a price. On G2, reviewers praise AB Tasty's support and ease of use, but some say the contact-for-pricing model puts off smaller businesses.

AB Tasty vs Optimizely

People often compare AB Tasty with Optimizely, and the two have a lot in common. Both are enterprise tools, and Optimizely also builds a custom plan for each customer with no public prices. A store owner choosing between them usually faces the same trade: strong features and support, but an annual contract sized for big teams. We cover the Optimizely side in Optimizely alternatives.

VWO

VWO combines A/B testing with heatmaps, session recordings and on-page surveys. The Wingify pricing page lists Web Experimentation, Web Personalization, Feature Experimentation, Behavior Analytics, Journey Analytics and User Feedback as separate products, each with Growth, Pro and Enterprise plans.

The catch for this page is simple. VWO is now part of the same company as AB Tasty. If your reason for leaving is the vendor itself (contract terms, support, roadmap), VWO no longer counts as a separate choice. If your reason is the product, it may still make sense, because VWO's research tools are built into the same account as testing.

Pricing: as of November 2026, vwo.com/pricing redirects to wingify.com/pricing, which shows plan names but no prices. You book a demo to get a quote.

Downsides: no public prices any more, and the product is in the middle of a brand and platform merger. Expect some change in the app and the account team over the next year.

Not for: stores that want to leave the AB Tasty company, or owners who want to see a price before talking to sales. Read our full VWO review for more.

Convert

Convert is an independent A/B testing tool that works on Shopify and any other site. It is the alternative that looks most like AB Tasty in what it does, with one big difference: the prices are public.

Pricing: as of November 2026, the Convert pricing page lists Growth at $399 a month, or $299 a month billed yearly. Pro is $599 a month, or $420 a month billed yearly. Both include 100,000 tested users a month. Enterprise is price on request, and there is a 15-day free trial with no credit card.

What stands out: Convert has a one-click Shopify app with revenue tracking and puts privacy first, with GDPR compliance as a selling point. Growth allows 5 active projects and Pro allows 30, so it suits agencies running several client stores.

Downsides: going over the tested-user limit costs $399 per extra 100,000 on Growth. Personalization and behavior tools are thinner than in the Wingify suite, so you may still need a separate heatmap tool.

Not for: small stores. At $299 a month you need enough traffic to finish tests in a few weeks. Our Convert review goes deeper.

A tool like Convert is useful for checkout and countdown tests, where the same idea can win or lose depending on the store. Dave Diederen saw +3.16% revenue per visitor (+$139,029/month est.) from a checkout countdown timer. Ruben from Tailored Commerce then tested a countdown timer across several brands: about +10% conversion rate on a low-priced brand, flat on a high-priced brand, and -9% on another.

Kameleoon

Kameleoon is another European platform and the closest match to AB Tasty's enterprise features. It covers web experiments, feature flags, mobile app testing and AI-driven personalization. It also offers "Prompt-Based Experimentation," where you describe a test in plain language and the tool builds the variant.

Pricing: as of November 2026, the Kameleoon plans page lists PBX Starter from $495 a month for 50,000 monthly tracked users and up to 10 experiments. It includes sequential testing, SRM detection and 40+ segmentation criteria. A free 30-day trial lets you build up to 3 experiments. Enterprise is custom, and feature management, personalization and the code editor are paid add-ons.

Downsides: the starter plan caps you at 10 experiments, and many features a mature program wants are extra. Once you add modules, the cost moves into enterprise-contract territory.

Not for: small Shopify stores that only want to test pages and offers. Kameleoon pays off when you have developers, a mobile app or server-side tests.

The segmentation is worth having if you sell in several countries. Dave Diederen's checkout countdown that won in the US lost badly elsewhere: the same idea for a European market came out at -35.61% revenue per visitor. A US version with an "order reserved" message reached +9.50% conversion rate. Without segment-level targeting, you would ship one result to every market.

Shopify-native options

If your store runs on Shopify, an app built for Shopify is often a better swap than another enterprise platform. These apps test themes, templates, prices and shipping rates inside Shopify itself, and cost far less. The trade-off is that they do not work on other platforms. See our full list of Shopify A/B testing apps.

Shoplift

As of November 2026, Shoplift costs $99 a month for Core (up to 50k monthly visitors, theme and template testing) and $299 a month for Advanced (up to 100k visitors, plus price testing, country segmentation and GA4). Pro is annual only. All plans have a 14-day free trial. It is not for teams that need deep custom-code tests or a non-Shopify site.

Intelligems

Intelligems is built around price, shipping and offer testing. As of November 2026, the build-your-own plan starts at $69 a month at the lowest order-volume tier, and the Unlimited plan is listed at $1,279 a month with a 3-month minimum. New stores get a 14-day trial, but it excludes price testing, which needs a paid plan.

Shipping and price are where store owners often find the biggest wins. Dave Diederen found that a $9.49 shipping fee beat the control by +43.81% revenue per visitor, and that removing the free-shipping threshold added +9.17% revenue per visitor. Josh Thompson also used Intelligems to test a new page design against the existing page: +137% conversion rate, est. +$51,423/month. We compare the two apps in Intelligems vs Shoplift.

Elevate

Elevate is the cheapest of the three. As of November 2026 its Shopify App Store listing shows Basic at $49 a month, Standard at $99 and Premium at $499, each with a 14-day trial, and a 4.9-star rating from 145 reviews. It tests prices, shipping, product pages, checkout and themes. Elevate also shares results with our database, such as a test where cutting the price by 30% led to 2x conversion rate.

One more reason to test natively: Oliver Kenyon rebuilt a landing page natively in Shopify instead of in a page builder and saw +9.9% conversion rate. How a variant is built can change the result.

Which one to pick

  • On Shopify, under about 100k visitors a month: start with Shoplift, Intelligems or Elevate.
  • Any platform, want public prices: Convert.
  • Need feature flags, apps or server-side tests: Kameleoon.
  • Happy with the AB Tasty company, want more research tools: ask Wingify about VWO.

Questions

What are the best AB Tasty alternatives?

For most online stores, the main options are Convert (public prices, works on any platform), Kameleoon (enterprise features such as feature flags and personalization) and Shopify apps such as Shoplift, Intelligems and Elevate. VWO is now owned by the same company as AB Tasty, Wingify.

How much does AB Tasty cost?

AB Tasty does not publish prices. As of November 2026, its pricing page redirects to wingify.com/pricing, which lists Growth, Pro and Enterprise plans but asks you to book a demo for a quote.

Is AB Tasty part of VWO now?

Yes. VWO and AB Tasty announced a merger in January 2026 and moved under one Wingify brand in September 2026. Wingify says existing contracts and pricing carry over unchanged while the products are combined.

AB Tasty vs Optimizely: which is better for a store?

Both are enterprise platforms with custom, quote-based pricing. They suit large teams with developers. Smaller Shopify stores usually get more value from a Shopify-native testing app or from Convert, which publishes its prices.
