Shipping deadline bar on the PDP: +10.95% revenue per visitor
Adding a bar on the product page with a "Ships by" date and a local shipping flag raised revenue per visitor by 10.95% and conversion rate by 6.62%. Dave Diederen ran this test. Average order value also rose 4.06%.
- Revenue per visitor rose 10.95% ($0.92 to $1.02), about $54,583 a month by the dashboard's estimate.
- Conversion rate rose 6.62% (1.40% to 1.49%), about 504 extra orders a month.
- Average order value rose 4.06% ($65.52 to $68.18).
- The ranges were very wide (-27% to +68% on revenue per visitor), so this single test is not conclusive on its own.
The change
A ships-by date and local shipping flag are added near the buy button.
Simplified mockup drawn by LiftArchive from the shared screenshots.
Control
The product page did not say when the order would ship.
Variant
A slim bar showed a specific ships-by date, such as "Ships by Wed, Apr 8", and a country flag with "Fast DE Shipping" for the visitor's country.
Why it likely won
Our reading of the result, not the practitioner's claim.
- shoppers want to know when the order will arrive, and most product pages don't say.
- a specific date makes delivery feel concrete, which reduces doubt.
- a local flag suggests the order ships from nearby and arrives fast.
- Dave Diederen says this element has not lost a test across months of use, which supports the single result.
Caveats: Sample size and duration were not shared, and the ranges cross zero by a wide margin. The base conversion rate was low (1.40%), which makes small differences noisy.

How to run this test on your store
- Hypothesis
- If we show a specific ships-by date and a local shipping flag near the add-to-cart button, then more visitors will buy because they know when and from where their order will come.
- Primary metric
- Revenue per visitor
- Guardrails
- Late-delivery complaints
- Average order value
- Refund rate
- Who should test it
- Stores that can reliably ship by a stated date and sell into several countries. Don't run it if your shipping times vary a lot, because a missed date costs trust.
Questions
Should I show a delivery or ship date on product pages?
In this test, a ships-by date bar lifted revenue per visitor 10.95% and conversion rate 6.62%.
What is a localized shipping flag?
It shows the visitor's country, such as a German flag with "Fast DE Shipping". It suggests the order will arrive quickly from nearby.
Is a ship date the same as a countdown timer?
No. It states a date and does not count down, so it answers when the order arrives rather than pushing a deadline.
