- Outcome: Won

Showing both available sizes, 200ml and 400ml, on shower gel product pages lifted the transaction rate by 3%. Yves Rocher ran this test on its shower gel category, and it was published as a VWO case study. Across 8,787 unique visitors, it brought in about EUR 3,000 more revenue than the original.

## Result

**+3% transactions**

- Clicks on size options: +5%. Shoppers used the new choice.
- Cart visits: +4%.
- Transaction rate: +3%.
- Extra revenue: about EUR 3,000 compared with the original, within the shower gel category only.

## Control

Each shower gel product page showed only the size the shopper was viewing. Many shoppers didn't realize other sizes existed.

## Variant

The product page displayed the available size options, 200ml and 400ml, so shoppers could see and pick between them.

## Why it likely won (our reading)

- Shoppers who wanted a bigger or smaller bottle no longer had to search for it, or leave.
- Seeing two sizes side by side lets people pick the one that fits their budget or needs.
- A larger option can appeal to repeat buyers who want better value per bottle.

## Caveats

The test covered 8,787 unique visitors in one product category, a small segment of the site. No duration or confidence level was shared.

## How to run this test

- Hypothesis: If we show all available sizes on each product page, then more shoppers will add to cart and buy because they can find the size that suits them without searching.
- Primary metric: Transaction rate
- Guardrail: Average order value
- Guardrail: Add-to-cart rate
- Guardrail: Share of orders by size
- Who should test it: Stores that sell the same product in several sizes as separate pages. If your sizes already appear in a picker, there's nothing new to show.
