Adding three trust-building lines under the Add to Cart button raised conversion rate by 13.5% for casket retailer Titan Casket. Blend Commerce ran this two-week A/B test on the product page. Add-to-cart rate rose 34.5% and revenue per visitor rose 39.8%.

## Result

**+13.5% conversion for Titan Casket**

- Conversion rate: +13.5% overall.
- Add-to-cart rate: +34.5%, so more shoppers moved from browsing to buying.
- Revenue per visitor: +39.8%, the biggest overall gain.
- Mobile led the way: +32.7% conversion, +47.7% add-to-cart rate and +105.2% revenue per visitor. Desktop conversion rose a smaller 5.8%.

## Control

The product page had no value propositions near the Add to Cart button.

## Variant

Three lines sat below the button: "Chosen by over 20,000 families & 500+ funeral directors", "Hundreds of deliveries per week to all 50 states" and "Rated 4.93/5 by thousands of families".

## Why it likely won (our reading)

- Buying a casket online is a high-stakes, unfamiliar purchase. Proof that thousands of families and funeral directors chose the brand eases that worry.
- The delivery line answers a practical fear: will it arrive in time, wherever the family lives?
- Placing the proof right at the button puts it where the buying decision happens, not further down the page.
- On mobile, trust content lower on the page is easy to miss, which may explain the bigger mobile lift. This is our reading, not the source's.

## Caveats

The test ran for two weeks. Sample size and confidence level were not shared, and results are reported by the agency.

## How to run this test

- Hypothesis: If we add short trust lines (customer count, delivery reach, rating) below the Add to Cart button, then more shoppers will buy because their doubts are answered at the moment of decision.
- Primary metric: Conversion rate
- Guardrail: Revenue per visitor
- Guardrail: Add-to-cart rate
- Guardrail: Return or cancellation rate
- Who should test it: Stores selling high-value or unfamiliar products where trust is a barrier, especially with lots of mobile traffic. It will likely do less for well-known brands, or if the claims are vague or can't be backed up.
