A revamped first fold on the mobile online degree page lifted form submissions by 9.34% and Enroll Now clicks by 11.68%. Tatvic, an analytics and marketing agency, ran this test for Online Manipal through UNext, published as a VWO case study. The variant bundled several changes, so the lift belongs to the package, not one element.

## Result

**+9.34% form submissions**

- Enroll Now clicks: +11.68%.
- Successful form submissions: +9.34%.
- The test ran for 12 days on mobile only.

## Control

The mobile degree page had a plain first fold and a complex form. It gave no cues about urgency, finance or scholarships.

## Variant

The first fold gained an appealing image, a highlighted grade, rearranged form fields and nudges about easy finance and scholarships. The application closing date was shown prominently.

## Why it likely won (our reading)

- Showing the closing date gave interested visitors a reason to act now rather than later.
- Finance and scholarship nudges answered a cost worry before it stopped people.
- Reordering the form fields likely made the form feel easier to start on a small screen.
- The source notes users had overlooked finance options and the deadline, so surfacing them filled a gap.

## Caveats

This was a bundled first-fold revamp, so no single change gets the credit. It ran on mobile only for 12 days, and sample size and confidence are not shared.

## How to run this test

- Hypothesis: If we rebuild the mobile first fold to show the deadline, finance options and a simpler form, then more visitors will apply because key reasons to act are visible without scrolling.
- Primary metric: Successful form submissions
- Guardrail: Lead quality or enrolment rate
- Guardrail: Desktop conversion if changes roll out
- Guardrail: Scroll depth
- Who should test it: Education providers and other lead-gen businesses with deadlines, financing or scholarships to promote. It will not help much if there is no real deadline, or if your form is already short and your offer is well understood.
