A slimmer banner above the G-SHOCK watch listing, with more detail on each selling point, brought in 41% more revenue per visitor to that page. Average order value rose 6%. Moho Internet Concepts ran this test on its watch store Horloges.nl, and it was published as a VWO case study.

## Result

**+41% revenue per visitor**

- Revenue per visitor to the G-SHOCK page: +41%, reported at 95% significance after two months.
- Average order value: +6%. Part of the revenue gain came from bigger orders, not only more of them.
- The variant showed little difference in the first month. The gap appeared only in the second month of testing.
- Horloges.nl used the extra revenue to pay for shipping, so free shipping stopped being a net cost.

## Control

A banner above the G-SHOCK product images listed three short points: official G-SHOCK dealer, free shipping, and next-day delivery. It was 72 pixels tall.

## Variant

A 52-pixel banner kept the same three points but added detail to each: free shipping with PostNL, next-day delivery when ordered before 16:00, and official dealer with a 2-year guarantee on watches.

## Why it likely won (our reading)

- The 2-year guarantee gives a concrete reason to trust the store, beyond a dealer badge that many shops claim.
- Naming the carrier and the 16:00 cutoff makes the delivery promise specific and easier to believe.
- A slimmer banner pushes the products up, so shoppers see more of the range sooner.
- Watches are a considered purchase, so reassurance about after-sale support may matter more than usual.

## Caveats

Three copy points changed at once, so the lift can't be tied to the guarantee alone. No sample size was shared, and the result only showed up after the first month.

## How to run this test

- Hypothesis: If we add specific proof to each selling point in our USP banner, such as the guarantee length, carrier and order cutoff time, then revenue per visitor will rise because shoppers trust concrete promises more than vague ones.
- Primary metric: Revenue per visitor to the category page
- Guardrail: Conversion rate
- Guardrail: Average order value
- Guardrail: Return or warranty claim rate
- Who should test it: Stores selling higher-priced items where trust and delivery speed matter, like watches or electronics. It may do little if your USPs are already specific, or if competitors all offer the same terms.
