Plant retailer feey turned its plain thank-you page into one with triggered cross-sells and thank-you videos, and reported about a 7% conversion rate on the post-purchase offers. feey set this up with the ReConvert app (now Upsell.com), and it was published as an Upsell.com case study. There was no baseline or control group, so this is a rollout result, not a measured lift.

## Result

**~7% take rate**

- About 7% conversion on post-purchase offers, at the time the case study was written.
- The same page's headline stats show a 4.30% thank-you page conversion rate, so the figures on the page don't fully agree.
- No baseline was shared. This is a before/after rollout, so we can't say how much revenue the change added.

## Control

A standard thank-you page that confirmed the order and did nothing else.

## Variant

The thank-you page showed cross-sells chosen by what was bought, such as watering cans, fertiliser and pruning knives. It also played a thank-you video that changed with the customer's number of purchases.

## Why it likely won (our reading)

- The offers matched the plant just bought. A buyer of a new plant may well need a watering can or fertiliser.
- feey wanted shoppers to add more items to offset its costs, so it set up offers based on which products customers tended to buy together.
- The videos aimed at repeat buying rather than an instant sale. Hinting at another video after the next order gives customers a small reason to come back.

## Caveats

Vendor-published before/after rollout with no baseline or control. The case study is undated, and its headline stats (4.30% CVR) differ from the ~7% in the text.

## How to run this test

- Hypothesis: If we add cross-sells triggered by the purchased product to the thank-you page, then more orders will gain an add-on, because the buyer sees useful companion items right after committing.
- Primary metric: Post-purchase offer conversion rate and revenue per order
- Guardrail: Repeat purchase rate within 90 days
- Guardrail: Refund rate on add-on items
- Guardrail: Thank-you page load time
- Who should test it: Stores whose products need accessories or care items, like plants, pets or coffee. It is less likely to work if you sell one-off items with no natural follow-on purchase.
