Shrinking the category overview at the top of collection pages lifted revenue per user by 2.9%, from €16.26 to €16.72, for KoRo. DRIP Agency ran this A/B test (KRO-38) and published it in its KoRo case study. Products appeared sooner, so shoppers had less to scroll past before comparing items.

## Result

**+2.9% revenue per user**

- Revenue per user: €16.26 to €16.72, a 2.9% lift.
- Conversion rate: 21.00% to 21.25%, a 1.2% relative lift.
- Revenue during the test: about €58,653 more than control.

## Control

Collection pages showed a large explanatory category overview above the product grid.

## Variant

The category overview was made smaller, so the product grid appeared higher on the page.

## Why it likely won (our reading)

- Shoppers on a collection page want to see products. A big text block pushes them below the fold.
- Less scrolling makes it easier to compare options side by side.
- Revenue per user rose more than conversion rate, which suggests shoppers who saw more products sooner also bought more.

## Caveats

Test KRO-38. Revenue is the total during the test runtime, not an annual figure. DRIP Agency did not publish sample size, test length or statistical significance.

## How to run this test

- Hypothesis: If we shrink the category overview above the product grid, then revenue per user will rise because shoppers see and compare products sooner.
- Primary metric: Revenue per user
- Guardrail: Product click-through rate
- Guardrail: Conversion rate
- Guardrail: Organic search traffic to collection pages
- Who should test it: Stores whose collection pages open with a large banner or text block. If that text supports SEO, keep it but move or collapse it. Stores with a compact header already will see little change.
