Showing payment method logos near the Add to Cart button lifted revenue per visitor by 29.77% on BBQ Land's high-ticket grill pages. Blend Commerce ran this A/B/C test. A second variant with express checkout buttons lost, cutting conversion rate by 31.21%.

## Result

**+29.77% revenue per visitor**

- Revenue per visitor (payment logos): +29.77%, driven by order value.
- Average order value (payment logos): +31.67%.
- Conversion rate (payment logos): -1.44%, roughly flat.
- Express checkout variant lost: conversion -31.21%, revenue per visitor -25.55%, add-to-cart -11.59%, despite order value +8.21%.

## Control

The product page buy area for grills showed no payment method cues near the Add to Cart button.

## Variant

Variant 2 added payment method logos near Add to Cart. Variant 1 instead placed express checkout buttons near the button.

## Why it likely won (our reading)

- Payment logos reassure buyers about how they can pay, which matters on expensive grills.
- Express checkout may have felt too soon. Grill buyers likely wanted to review the cart, shipping or pickup options first.
- Logos did not push anyone to buy faster, but may have given decided buyers confidence to spend more.

## Caveats

The payment logo win comes from order value; conversion was flat. Sample size, duration and significance were not shared, and a 31% order value swing is large for a visual cue.

## How to run this test

- Hypothesis: If we show accepted payment method logos near Add to Cart on high-ticket products, then revenue per visitor will rise because buyers feel safer committing to a large purchase.
- Primary metric: Revenue per visitor
- Guardrail: Conversion rate
- Guardrail: Add-to-cart rate
- Guardrail: Average order value
- Who should test it: Stores selling expensive, considered items such as grills, furniture or appliances. For cheap impulse items, payment reassurance probably matters less, and express checkout may do better than it did here.
