Placing a positive, product-specific customer review near the top of the product page lifted revenue per visitor by 4% for Azuna. Blend Commerce ran this A/B test. The gains were small but showed up across conversion, add to cart and order value.

## Result

**+4% revenue per visitor**

- Revenue per visitor: +4%.
- Conversion rate: +1.34%, and add-to-cart rate: +2%.
- Average order value: +2.5%.
- Subscription revenue per visitor: +1.32%. All lifts are small.

## Control

Reviews appeared only at the bottom of the product page. Heatmaps showed few shoppers scrolled that far.

## Variant

One positive review about the product's results was placed near the top of the page, close to the buy button.

## Why it likely won (our reading)

- Most shoppers never reached the reviews, so moving one up put proof in front of far more people.
- An odour eliminator has to work, so a review about results answers the main doubt right at the buy button.
- Seeing proof earlier may make shoppers more willing to buy a larger size or more units.

## Caveats

The lifts were small and no significance level, sample size or duration was shared, so the result may be within normal noise.

## How to run this test

- Hypothesis: If we place a positive, product-specific review near the buy button, then revenue per visitor will rise because shoppers see proof before they decide.
- Primary metric: Revenue per visitor
- Guardrail: Conversion rate
- Guardrail: Add-to-cart rate
- Guardrail: Review section engagement
- Who should test it: Stores selling products whose main doubt is whether they work, with reviews buried low on the page. If reviews already show near the top, expect little gain.
