Bringing a clear "What's My Size?" guide, trust signals and better-ordered images higher up the mobile product page lifted add-to-cart rate by 22% for AnotherSole. ConvertPolo ran this test for the footwear brand, and it was published as a VWO case study. Several changes shipped together, so the lift belongs to the redesign as a whole, not to any one element.

## Result

**+22% add to cart**

- Add-to-cart rate: +22% for the redesigned page.
- Conversion rate through thumbnail interactions: +33%. This tracks people who used the image thumbnails, not all visitors.
- No sample size, duration or significance level was shared.

## Control

On the mobile product page, sizing help, trust signals and product images were unclear or sat far down the page.

## Variant

The page added a clear "What's My Size?" guide, moved trust signals into prominent spots and reordered the product images so the most useful ones came first.

## Why it likely won (our reading)

- Fit is the main worry when buying shoes online. A visible size guide answers it at the moment of choice.
- Trust signals near the top can ease doubts about a brand the shopper may not know yet.
- Better image order shows the shoe clearly sooner, which may explain the gain from thumbnail use.

## Caveats

This was a bundled test: the size guide, trust signals and image changes shipped together, so we cannot tell which one drove the lift. No sample size, duration or significance was shared.

## How to run this test

- Hypothesis: If we place a clear size guide, trust signals and the best product images near the top of the mobile product page, then more shoppers will add to cart, because their main doubts about fit and trust are answered sooner.
- Primary metric: Add-to-cart rate
- Guardrail: Order conversion rate
- Guardrail: Return rate for size reasons
- Guardrail: Page load time on mobile
- Who should test it: Fashion and footwear stores where fit questions are common and mobile traffic is high. If you want to know which change works, test the size guide on its own first. Stores selling items without sizes will get less from the size guide part.
