Replacing a text-only mobile menu with a visual mega menu that shows product thumbnails added $43,544 a month in revenue. Convertibles ran this A/B test for an 8-figure adult wellness brand. Only the revenue figure was shared.

## Result

**+$43,544/month**

- Revenue: +$43,544 per month, as estimated by the agency.
- No conversion rate, sample size or confidence level was shared.

## Control

The mobile menu was a plain list of category links, such as Vibrators, Personal Care, Sexual Health, Bundles and Sale.

## Variant

Opening a category showed product thumbnails with names, plus a Shop All link. The menu also added a quiz link, account and order status links, and an About section with imagery.

## Why it likely won (our reading)

- New visitors may not know product names. Pictures let them browse without knowing them.
- Shoppers can jump straight to a product from the menu, skipping a category page.
- The menu works like a small storefront, so shopping starts earlier.

## Caveats

Revenue is agency-reported, and sample size, duration and confidence were not shared. Several menu additions shipped together, so the lift can't be credited to the thumbnails alone.

## How to run this test

- Hypothesis: If we show product thumbnails inside the mobile menu, then revenue per visitor will rise because shoppers reach products faster.
- Primary metric: Revenue per visitor
- Guardrail: Menu load time
- Guardrail: Product page views per session
- Guardrail: Mobile conversion rate
- Who should test it: Stores with a small set of distinct hero products whose names mean little to new visitors. Stores with huge catalogs need to pick a few bestsellers per category or the menu gets crowded.
